Verizon Wireless Launches Recycling/Trade-in Program
After I read the article, Verizon Wireless Launches Recycling/Trade-in Prgram, I realized how beneficial this idea can be. In the article it explains how Verizon started this program, where first you enter the type of phone (it can be any brand) you plan on sending in and the condition it is in. After all the information has been entered online Verizon will send that person a pre-paid envelope to send the phone in. Next if the phone still has any value they will send back a Verizon gift card that can be used on purchasing new phones or just paying the bill. They also offer for you to donate your phone to HopeLine, which is a program thats help victims of domestic violence by providing them with cell phones. I believe this program is good for not only the consumers by being able to get some reward for recycling old phones but it also help Verizon's image of going more green. This should prove to be beneficial for both sides which makes it a good plan in my eyes. Overall I imagine that this program will continue for a long time.

ReplyDeleteGood Article
ReplyDeleteI agree this program is necessary in todays world. Especially, due to the fact that the world is continuing to grow in population, which correlates to our increasing demand for producing waste (garbage).
How beneficial can a recycle program be?
You tell me.
Think it in't, go watch the CNBC documentary on the waste issues going on right know in Beijing China?
Change your mind!
